Bring the art of belly dance to your next event

Hiring a Belly Dancer FAQs:

Why Bring Belly Dance to Your Next Event?

A performance or workshop by Sahara’s Treasure is engaging, exciting, unique entertainment they’ll remember for years!

What Kind of Entertainment Can You Schedule?

We offer workshops to teach your attendants belly dance moves, as well as professional performances for entertainment. All of our shows are family-friendly and appropriate for everyone in your group.

Which Styles or Options Can You Choose?

We offer both folkloric interpretations as well as modern and “fusion” line-ups. Talk to us about your expectations and we can arrange the appropriate style for your event. You can also request the use of certain props, favorite songs, specific dancers, etc.

Where Can You Schedule Your Event?

We generally choose gigs within the Montgomery County area. However, we are open to dancing further away on a case-by-case basis. A traveling fee will apply. Don’t have a venue? We have connections to local dance studios and may be able to schedule something for you there. Again, an additional fee may apply.

How Do You Schedule an Appearance? (and How Much Does it Cost?)

We take pride in being able to customize our performances and workshops to fit your needs and your budget. Contact us and we’ll be happy to walk you through a few different options. We want you and your guests to be happy, which means creating the most impact for the least amount of cost. The rate varies depending on what type of event you’re hosting, how many dancers are needed and for how long, and how far we have to travel. Our average workshop rate is approximately $125, and our average performance rate is $279. Yes, this is the standard in the industry.

6 Great Ways to Impress with Belly Dancing

1. Send a loved one a 5 to 10 minute “Bellygram” on their birthday or anniversary. Surprise them at their home or office.

2. Invite your friends for a girls’ night out (hen night) and learn a few moves to strengthen and relax the body and mind. Mommy needs her time, too!

3. Or invite your friends for a girls night in (bachelorette party, bridal shower) and learn some hot shimmies and sensual undulations to impress! Play some themed games and share a few drinks.

4. Make your daughter’s next birthday special with a themed belly dance princess party. They’ll receive some glitter and sparkles, play some games, and learn a few dance moves.

5. Invite the troupe to your next fundraiser or festival. We can set up for mini-belly dance lessons for your guests, or even perform for an audience.

6. Make your next wedding or ceremony memorable with a surprise performance from one of our professional dancers. Belly dance, after all, was used in some cultures to celebrate fertility and to bring good fortune to newlyweds.
